One Way Link Building -3 Underused Strategies

If you’ve been building back links also known as inbound links to your site as part of your SEO campaign, then you’ve probably heard of a lot of different back linking strategies
But here’s two additional strategies you may not have heart mentioned; researching your competitors back links, back linking you back links and finally one of the easiest and most overlooked link building strategies of all.
When you follow these three SEO tips you’ll fire up your link building efforts in no time.
1. Copy your competitors Links. In order to get to page one on Google, your competitors generally need to have a lot of sites linking to them. 95% of the time having a large number of quality back links is an enormous help in ranking high in search engine results. So how do you know what inbound links your competitors have? There is always the link: operator in Google. However it is not accurate as Google does not want people to know exactly how they calculate PageRank and what pages they think are important.
A better option is Yahoo Site Explorer. It shows the number of inbound links on a website Yahoo Search. Click on links and in the Show Inlinks dropdown select “Except from this domain”. You can then look at each of these sites and work out how you can get a link from them. It could be a writing a blog comment, giving product review, writing an article or any other of the dozen ways of getting back links.
2. Backlinking you back links. You can submit your RSS feed for many of the top article sites to rss directories, a lot of social media sites have an RSS feed of your posts, you can mention your latest article in your social media posts and so on. There is also a a load of software for creating backlinks. There is no danger of your website being penalized either as none of the pages you create links to will be your website.
3. Create quality content. You’ve heard it before, but there is a vast amount of strategies tempting you with thousands of back links, getting you to page one on Google in no time, etc. Why not channel some of the hours of effort you put into those different strategies just to create some unique and quality content on your own website? You’ll have webmasters comment to you in droves to link you and the more outstanding your content the more links you’ll have to your website
