LSI is closely related to the concept of themed sites. According to search engine specialist, Dr. Andrew Williams, a themed site will outperform a non-themed site in the search engine results every time.
LSI stands for latent semantic indexing, which is a way of saying that you need to describe your website or blog using different, but related words. For example, consider the keyword “candy.” Let’s say we have a website about candy. Search engines want you to have other phrases that describe candy in different ways and that’s what LSI does for you. It tells you other ways to describe that term.
Some keyword research tools like Micro Niche Finder, have functions for LSI search. Clicking on LSI brings up 47 search terms that are related to candy. So, in describing your website about candy, it would be good to work some of these other keywords into that page. That’s really the basic thing you need to know about LSI. One other thing that it’s good for is that now, we have also some additional terms that might have some good search counts.
